I had the fish and chips, and it was better than expected. the price was higher than normal but I guess that's to be expected when you're stuck on the ocean city boardwalk and everything is priced a bit higher. it was a busy Saturday given the bike week crowd and our food and service was still prompt, which was very appreciated since our parking was about to expire (we made it back with 6 minutes to spare).

Great New York style Pizza. Kid friendly. Specialty Pepperoni Pizza loaded with pepperoni. Negative: rotten service! Waitress to preoccupied with talking to other waitress and the bartender. She Came to our table one time and that was when the pizza was all gone. I was eating ice to parch my thirst.

Stopped in a for a slice of cheese pizza and it was pretty bad. The dough was like a dense, unsalted saltine cracker. The sauce had no seasoning. The cheese was actually good and produced a nice, light grease but it couldn't make up for the sorry state the rest of the pie was in. Service was fine and it was air conditioned.

Brought out our plates with cheese and hot peppers on top of a plate we need to use. Plate under that one oily. Appetizer came out and 3 minutes later our pizza., we weren't done our nachos yet....ugh but pizza is good. My fav pizza!

Came here with friends looking for a quick lunch. We ended up splitting a pizza which was reasonably priced at around $20, it was pretty large. It was just your average pizza but it was pretty tasty. We were all full and satisfied and we even had some left over. We also ended up with funnel cake fries because we couldn't resist! Service was quick and friendly. If I ever find myself back in Ocean City I will definitely be stopping here again.

The Good: If you're looking for New York style pizza, this is about as close as you'll get!!! The pizza was fantastic. Thinly crusted, fresh olives and they actually used the small pepperoni. The Bad: Service was semi-okay Overall: I'd definitely go again, place was clean and the pizza was actually very good.

Dough Rollers: indifferent service, good location, great pizza. Yum! I came here with a friend on a weekday afternoon at the very end of spring/beginning of summer. I was a little unnerved at how empty it was when we first walked in (plus it took the hostess an unexpectedly long time to assist and seat us) but it quickly began to fill up as we waited. Our waitress changed several times, from an exceptionally cheerful woman of late middle years, to your typical surly teenager straight out of a teensploitation beach party flick of the 1960s, to a cranky older woman who barked questions then blurted out desperate answers like "I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON I JUST WALKED IN AND THEY HANDED ME THIS PIZZA" before taking a breath between the two and allowing for a response. Nonetheless, the pizza. was. HEAVEN. Enormous, thick-cut chunks of fresh pepperoni, melty mozzarella (maybe buffalo?? it was above and beyond the usual cheap tasteless white pizza parlour crud) and a divine not-too-crispy not-too-soft crust. My companion and I ordered the medium, and after eating our fill and then some until we were bloated and groaning, still had almost 4 slices left over for breakfast the following day. It's just as good then (as all pizza ought to be.) It's definitely a no-frills boardwalk style place, but the bathrooms were clean and the people there a normal mix - high school students moving in herds, small families with well-wrangled tots, older couples wandering in out of the sun. Didn't skew any particular direction, and the noise level was reasonable. The food came out fresh and was roughly the temperature of lava, and our generous sodas were refilled often, well before they reached empty. It's pricier than I would like for just a good (not gourmet) pizza place, but given its location ON the boardwalk in a hyper-touristy area, I imagine that's just the nature of the beast. We were on a day trip from DC and while 6 hours round trip is no picnic in and of itself, the Pepperoni Overload alone was *almost* worth the trip.

Congrats, Dough Roller. You won the award in my book for Worst Pizza Ever. How can your claim to fame be pizza and pancakes and at least 50% of it is total crap? (I can't speak for the pancakes, we didn't try any). The pizza came out positively DRENCHED in grease. I picked up a slice and had to wait several seconds before moving it to a plate because it was just pouring off. The mushrooms were from a can. You know, those gross slimy white ones that are the same color as cheese? Yeah. And it was clear they use the cheapest cheese they could find. The pizza tasted pretty much just like the oregano, Parmesan, and red pepper flakes that come out of those little jars on the table, which we added ourselves. The $7 kids "meal" consisted of greasy pizza that had been sitting out that you couldn't order specially made (pepperoni or cheese), and fries that had been thrown into the frier again just to warm them up. I could go on and on. I am willing to bet the only reason these people are in business still is because of the location. Managers/owners, wake up. Your pizza sucks. Italy hates you.

Service was abrupt and impersonal. Pizza was mediocre at best, tasted like something from the frozen good section. Members of the waitstaff were constantly on their phones and lounging around the restaurant.

Though I find their pizza unremarkable, we LOVE their (Dayton's) chicken and never miss it every trip to the beach. ...With that said.... I hate to make my review a complaint, but I can't bite my tongue. We always get an order of chicken and fries and sit on the picnic tables outside- which in recent times have been atrocious. The seagull dung piles can no longer be counted numerically but can now only be measured in depth. It took three requests (to two employees) before one begrudgingly came out to clean the tables. She actually admitted that they don't bother cleaning them except for once in the morning or if someone complains. I can't understand why the health department allows this or why the Dough Roller itself isn't ashamed of it.

Bacon pancakes- pretty damn good. Buckwheat pancakes, delicious. Eggs and cheese with home fries-giant portion. Pizza was "eh" but being from NYC, MD has no chance no matter where, what or when. The waitress was very nice. The place is open all around fold back doors for summer, so we had annoying flies pestering us the entire meal. Cheap eats in a touristy area surrounded by places that tend to rip you off. So over all, its a good find.

We came here looking to have something light for dinner. This place succeeded in giving us the food we were looking for. We ordered chocolate chip pancakes on the kids menu, an Italian grilled chicken sandwich, large caesar salad, and pancakes. The chocolate chip pancakes and plain were very good. The Italian chicken sandwich didnt have very good sauce on it- tasted like jarred pizza sauce- glad we asked for it on the side. The caesar salad was great and fresh. With the kids menu they gave a pack of fake mustaches which was very cute. The resturaunt inside was very cute and pretty clean along with the bathrooms. The service was also good. I recommend this location!

The place was clean. Seating was fast. Service was indifferent. Horrible buffalo chicken sandwich. Burnt chicken patty dipped in buffalo sauce. It was so hard to chew and made me gag. Definitely not worth $13.

You know how I know this place is grimey? Because they don't clean the bathroom. You know how I know they don't clean the bathroom? Because I saw the same 2 foot long turd in the middle bathroom stall on a wednesday night and again on thursday morning! I learned my lesson going there twice in a row, let alone ever again. P.S. Another mistake I made was ordering the sangria. It tasted like stale vinegar and lemon juice. Horrid.

Husband and I routinely went for breakfast while we stayed in OC during the off-season. Twice for lunch and once for dinner (we love Pizza). Pizza was incredible both times and chicken Parmesan was delicious. The fettuccine Alfredo (plain) that my husband got was forgettable and didn't stand out. Whereas the Chicken Parmesan was crispy, juicy, and the spaghetti sauce was incredible. Pancakes were incredible, 'nough said. Prices are expensive, but that's what you get for eating at a major tourist spot.

Best pizza on the boardwalk! (In OC, MD anyway...) I've been eating at The Dough Roller (either @ Dvsion St or 4th st) since my first trip away from home without parents, waaaayyyyyy back in Senior Week 1985. I love it. And let me reiterate: The pizza is delicious... not the best I've EVER had but like I said best on the boards. I noticed some negative reviews but it sounds like those folks didn't even eat pizza. (WTF? Who the #$%@!! goes to a pizza parlor for creamed chipped beef and french toast???) They probably should've gone to The Bayside Skillet... but then again I've heard of people ordering fried chicken at a crab house. Whatever. If you want pizza, don't miss the Dough Roller. If you want breakfast, maybe a pizza parlor isn't the best choice. (DUH!)

I bit down on a pizza. Felt something hard and thin. Discovered a thick hair cooked into the cheese. Enough said.

Great service and good food :) its perfect food for the beach: pizza, burgers, and chicken strips. We had cheese pizza which we loved and buffalo chicken strips which were great with Ranch! The nacho burger sounded great but was ok, meat lacked some taste.

This was my favorite pizza on the boardwalk. It's not my favorite pizza ever, but it was the best of the ones I tried in OC MD. It had a nice crispy crust, the sauce was decent and didn't taste generic like some other places, and the cheese was decent. I'd definitely do dough roller pizza again over the other places on the boardwalk.

My husband and I both got burgers, which were good and tasty..the fries were good also..IMO just as good, if not better than the "popular" Thrasher's fries. The prices are a little high, but so is everywhere else in OC, so....would eat here again.

Nice respite from the heat. Air conditioning and ceiling fans. Hostess was not at her station, therefore we had to flag someone down to be seated. We saw a family leave because of the delay in seating. Waitress was Eastern European. Ordered a medium Hawaiian pizza. It had more pineapple than Canadian bacon. Crust was nice and crispy. Drink refills were timely.

Its OK. There is nothing you would consider the best you ever had, but you will pay as if it is. So value is very very low, but its a safe bet to not be bad. So at least there's that.

Ok - my 4 year old son had a slice of pizza from the kids menu - they give you an applesauce with that and a drink with a crazy straw and a toy shark! He loved it! Simple and good. I had the fried chicken which was awesome. I compare it to a cross of KFC and Popeyes. Crispy, hot, juicy and full of flavor! Hubby had the bacon cheeseburger - he loved it! Waitress was very attentive! Service was fast Tables were clean. No complaints!

This is our second year coming here for breakfast, and I think it will be our last. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and there are just better places to eat. I ordered creamed chipped beef over toast with a side of bacon. The toast was not the least bit toasted (leaving me with a plate of mush), and the creamed chipped beef was a salt overload. The bacon was good, but also saltier and greasier than it needed to be. The orange juice was overly watered down "from concentrate." I will add that while I was unhappy with my meal, my husband said his french toast tasted just fine to him... so maybe it depends what you order!

Great breakfast place! Exceptional pancakes and really great wait staff. A little expensive for breakfast though, but as its in the heart of the boardwalk tourist part, I'm not totally shocked by it.

After attempting Castaways, and being very disappointed, we wandered out and came across the Dough Roller. I was very apprehensive. My only Dough Roller experience was the old Dough Roller in Crofton, Md. which was horrible. To my surprise, the O. C. establishment was great. It was a Friday and we were seated quickly. Our server was excellent. She was personable and on point. We ordered salads, sandwiches, and Pizza. The pizza was hot, fresh and delicious. The chicken sub she suggested was gobbled down by my son and enjoyed immensely. My niece liked her salad so much our other son ordered one to. Great family atmosphere. Friendly and worth the money.

Just what we were looking for - a place with AC and good pizza. We got salads and enjoyed a great meal just the two of us. The service was QUICK and friendly. The alcohol seemed a bit overpriced, but if you're looking for an easy dinner, this is an nice stop.
